Local Company Gets Set For National Stage

Local specialist company, Red Hot Cuisine is getting ready to launch a number of new products on a national stage at the Speciality & Fine Food Fair, being held at the Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate on 15 and 16 June.

The family run company based in Beeston, produces a range of fresh Indian spice packs designed to aid with healthy and authentic Indian cooking. Red Hot Cuisine was set up in 2004 by Jas and Shilpa Rayatt in response to the difficulty they had in obtaining authentic curry spices in an area that is outside of the traditional ‘ethnic’ areas of the Midlands. The range consists of fresh, whole and ground spices in packs with clear instructions and additional shopping list requirements for cooking authentic Indian meals such as Bombay Potatoes, Masala Chicken and Punjabi Lamb.

The products contain no artificial preservatives or colourings, and have had a great response from slimmers as a way of creating curry without the fat, using one cal spray oil for cooking. The products are also well received by the vegetarian market, offering an alternative to pasta.

The Harrogate Show will see Red Hot Cuisine amongst more than 150 regional, national and international fine food and drink producers under one roof to pitch their products to buyers from speciality food and drink businesses, including delis, farm shops, restaurants and cafés, from around the country. At the show, the company will be launching its brand new Keema and Aloo Gobi spice packs providing the spices with which to make these easy genuine Northern Indian dishes.

According to Jas Rayatt, “This is a great opportunity for us to be seen on a national scale. We already have a successful mail order and distributor business, but this show will give us the prospect of supplying to retail and food service businesses from much further a field.”

With its flair for innovation and eye for a niche it won’t be long before this Beeston company is seen on the shelves of top-end outlets across the country.
